Instagram is testing per-slide captions, which means each frame of a carousel gets its own text instead of sharing one caption for the whole post. It sounds like a design tweak and it is actually a search change, because now one carousel can get found for six different things instead of one. If you post carousels, stop writing captions that summarize and start writing captions that answer whatever question that specific slide is solving.

Sort your last ten posts by saves instead of likes

This takes four minutes and it will annoy you. The order almost never matches what you expected, and the posts at the top are usually not the ones you were proud of. A like means someone approved of you as they scrolled past. A save means someone thought they might actually need you later, and that gap between the two lists is the most useful thing sitting in your analytics.

The stiffness is not your personality, it is the first hour

Every client I shoot arrives convinced they are bad on camera. Around hour four they relax, say something real to the friend they brought along, and that is the clip that outperforms everything we planned. If your own content comes out wooden, you are probably just not filming long enough to get past the part where you are aware of the camera
