Pinterest's report this year points at trend fatigue, with Gen Z driving most of the predictions and the through line being exhaustion with keeping up. What is rising instead is comfort, personal expression, and escape rather than status. This is worth taking seriously because Pinterest trends last roughly twice as long as trends elsewhere online and 88 percent of their predictions have come true over six years. If your audience is tired of trends, the fastest way to look dated is to be visibly trying to keep up with them.
Write the caption as a keyword, not a description

People search inside apps now instead of leaving to go find an answer. That means the words in your caption, your on-screen text, and even what you say out loud are all doing search work whether you meant them to or not. Say the thing a person would actually type when they are looking for what you sell.
